UN reform taken a step further with “One UN”
The One UN Programme, signed by the Government of Albania and UN Agencies on 24 October 2007, will guide the UNDP Country Programme Document and Action Plan. The One UN Programme builds on the United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF) 2006 – 2010, successful joint UN programmes that address national priorities and Country Programme Documents and Action Plans agreed for UNICEF, UNDP and UNFPA in 2006. The One UN Programme does not cancel commitments and agreements reached to date with the Government for UNDP and other UN Agencies.
Implementation of the One UN Programme at the country level will bring increased harmonization, efficiency and collaboration among UN agencies while maintaining their distinct personality, agenda, and purpose.
