Protecting the rights of women in Durres  » 07-09-2010Advancing gender equality and the rights of women is a focus of the United Nation`s work in Albania, supporting the national priority to achieve Millennium Development Goal 3: Gender Equality. As part of the United Nations Joint Programme on Gender Equality, the United Nations Development Programme is piloting a model for a coordinated community response to domestic violence in the municipalities of Korca, Durres and Kamza. Modernizing the Albanian livestock industry - An interview with UNDP`s Ulrich Schmidt  » 27-07-2010The UNDP livestock project is contributing at the national level to support the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Consumer Protection to modernise and harmonise national databases and the information system within the livestock sector.
